Central Alberta Region (Red Deer), Canada

September 3-5, 2025 / Registration Deadline: August 20, 2025

Welcome to Central Alberta Economic Partnership (CAEP)

Empowering Investment Attraction in Central Alberta

Central Alberta Economic Partnership is a Regional Economic Partnership Alliance (REDA) representing over 25 municipalities and organizations in the heart of Alberta.

The CAEP region is an ideal location for business investment, offering a unique combination of strategic advantages, economic diversity, and supportive infrastructure.

Centrally located between Alberta’s two largest cities – Calgary and Edmonton – the region provides businesses with direct access to over 80 percent of the province’s 5 million residents within a 90-minute drive. The region benefits from strong transportation links, including major highways, rail lines, and convenient access to major international airports.

The CAEP region also offers a competitive business environment, with:

  •                                                        Lower land and operating costs than larger urban centers
  •                                                       Streamlined municipal development processes, and
  •                                                       Pro-business tax structures

A diverse mix of industries, including energy, agriculture, manufacturing, technology and tourism offer a range of opportunities for business investment.

Site selectors and entrepreneurs benefit from tools like InvestCentralAlberta.ca, a GIS-enabled platform providing data on available properties, workforce statistics, and infrastructure assets.

The region continues to invest in infrastructure, including high-speed broadband expansion in rural and Indigenous communities, and is equipped with reliable utilities, logistics hubs, and modern transportation networks.

The CAEP region is a compelling location for business investment. With its central location, economic diversity, supportive infrastructure, skilled workforce, affordable cost structure, and high quality of life, it offers businesses a competitive edge and a strong foundation for long-term growth.
